NTI appliance
Dr. Magid understands the correlation between oral
health and overall well-being. Oral health includes how well your
teeth and jaw function in relation to the muscles surrounding them.
If there isn't equilibrium, muscle tension can occur. This tension
can produce prolonged clenching of the teeth.
To alleviate this problem, Dr. Magid can create a
small removable appliance to be placed on your front teeth, called
an NTI appliance. This tension suppression system, worn primarily
at night, significantly reduces clenching. Continual clenching
of the teeth can result in many health problems and has even been
linked to causing migraine
headaches.
