Dr. Sabrina Magid-Katz has been named one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America, the Business Council of Westchester’s “40 under 40 Rising Stars”, Westfair’s “Women Making an Impact”, Westchester Magazine’s “22 People to Watch”, and Westchester Magazine’s “Healthcare Heroes”.

Dr. Magid-Katz completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. During her training she did research in the durability of the dental ceramics used in CAD/CAM restorations, an externship in “eastern dentistry” as practiced in China, and a medical-dental mission to the remote villages in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Dr. Sabrina Magid-Katz completed a residency in all facets of general dentistry at NY Presbyterian-Methodist hospital where she was awarded the “Resident of The Year”. Among other continuing education, Dr. Magid-Katz completed a two year implant training at NYU. Magid grew up in Westchester in a dental family—three generations of dentists preceded her, including her father, Kenneth S. Magid, DDS, today her partner at Advanced Dentistry of Westchester in Harrison.

Dr. Sabrina Magid-Katz is a clinical instructor of Honors Esthetics at NYU College of Dentistry and a lecturer to dental societies on screening for and treating snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Magid-Katz has a unique ability to serve the often-underserved Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. She began taking lessons in American Sign Language during her early education and continued by teaching “Introduction to ASL and Exposure to Deaf Culture” to hearing students throughout her career. Under her direction Advanced Dentistry of Westchester has added and will continue to expand the technology and services to care for this important population.

Along with her passion for serving the Deaf community, Dr. Magid-Katz serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester which is “dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all”. She is also a member of Duke University’s Young Alumni Development Council. Dr. Magid-Katz is a founding member of the Westchester Integrative Health Network, and a founding member of the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health which is dedicated to improving inter-disciplinary healthcare collaboration and promoting awareness of the science-driven relationships between oral health and whole body health.
